CONTACT SEMINAR INVITATION
ECVET - European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training
13.-16. January 2011
Quality Hotel Leangkollen, Bleikeråsen 215, ASKER

Dear Madam/Sir,
The Norwegian National Agency kindly invites you to participate in the Leonardo da Vinci Programme Transfer of Innovation and Partnership Contact Seminar on the 13.–16. January 2011 in Oslo, Norway.

ECVET - EUROPEAN CREDIT SYSTEM FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Aim
The aim of this Contact Seminar is to increase cooperation and dialog within the scope of ECVET. The European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) aims to give people greater control over their individual learning experiences and make it more attractive to move between different countries and different learning environments. ECVET aims for better compatibility between the different vocational education and training (VET) systems in place across Europe and their qualifications. By 2012, it should create a technical framework to describe qualifications in terms of units of learning outcomes, and it includes assessment, transfer, accumulation and recognition procedures.
The aim of the seminar is to gather organisations and actors in the field to discuss and develop Transfer of Innovation and Partnership applications with the aim to facilitate the validation, recognition and accumulation of work-related skills and knowledge acquired during a stay in another country or in different situations, to ensure that these experiences contribute to vocational qualifications.

Form

The seminar will be based on both formal and informal activities.
In plenary sessions there will be presented results from previous ECVET projects to work as inspiration and knowledge to the participants. The organizers will provide information and support, and the participants will have their chance to work in smaller groups in order to begin building partnerships to make an application for a project.
Working language will be english
